- Always use latest updated antivirus.avoid use of cracked or patched antivirus because it can be infected with some kind of spyware.you can use free antivrus like AVG,Avast or Mirosoft's security essentials or dish out some money on premium antivirus like Bitdefender, Kaspersky or any-other antivirus.
- Use Antispyware like Ad-aware or Spywareblaster etc because most antivirus are not able to detect special kind of spyware or malware.
- Keep your window updated.
- Always scan every file before opening specialy exe, rar or any-other archieved file.
- Run virus quick scan regularly and full system scan in a week.
- Install only trusted software. If you’re not sure what a piece of software does from it’s name, then don’t install it.Some software will ask you to install this software or that software so don't install it.
- Keep Open your windows firewall do not turn it off .
- Use IP hiders to surf anonymously.
- Avoid going to shady sites (porn sites) or your PC will get infected with spyware and viruses.Avoid these shady and untrusted sites.
- If you receive emails from random people’s names, do not bother to open the email, just delete it.Never download or open attachments unless you are sure it’s from someone you know and also be wary of any emails from sites pretending to be banks, auction sites, etc asking for you to verify bank account info or address info. No bank ever does that.
